Keep Profiles on Private for Protection
Don’t leave your social media profiles on public; this is asking for someone to get ahold of your information and even keep tabs on your physical location. Instead, turn your profiles on private so people cannot keep track of who you are or where you are. This will also ensure that only your friends and family members are following you, not strangers.
Use a Password Manager
Using the same password for every site is just asking to get hacked on multiple accounts. Through our experience as a security companies in Chicago, we have learned it is best to download a password manager that generates a random password of different letters and numbers for each of your accounts. It’s a good idea to do this when you get a new computer.
Two-Factor Authentication
This is another way to add an extra layer of security to your account. This means that when you log in as usual to your accounts, you will get a one-time security passcode automatically sent to your phone via text message or authenticator app.
