We are seeking a Senior Financial Officer to join the team. The ideal candidate will have the following skills, talents, and abilities:
- Strategy, Planning and Management
Act as Senior Financial Officer and strategic business partner to executive leadership team. Assess and evaluate financial performance of organization with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts, and provide insight and recommendations to both short-term and long-term growth plans.
- Accounting, General Ledger, Administration and Operations
Supervise the accounting department to ensure the proper functioning of all systems, databases and financial software. Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls, SOX compliance and financial procedures. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting data for federal funders, foundations, investors and company’s board of directors.
- Financial Management
Manage cash flow planning process and ensure funds availability. Responsible for payables, receivables, and other collections and payments. Analyze potential acquisition opportunities and provide recommendations on potential returns and risks. Maintain banking relationships and strategic alliances with vendors and business partners as needed.
- Position Requirements
- BA in Accounting or Finance
- CPA preferred
- MBA or MF preferred
- Background in Big 4 Public Accounting strongly positive
- 5 years minimum finance or accounting experience
- Publicly traded corporation experience strongly positive
- Knowledge and understanding of GAAP
